Looking for cool things to do in Oahu?There must be lots of amazing things to do in Oahu or it wouldn’t attract as many visitors as it does every year. And it is the most heavily populated of the Hawaiian Islands. Would that many people choose to live on Oahu if it weren’t jammed packed with fun things to do? Most people know that you can hike to Diamond Head on Oahu for a great view. But did you know there are lots of Oahu hiking trails? You can hike to waterfalls, through a rain forest, to great views of Pearl Harbor, and to areas great for spotting migrating whales. Interested in Oahu luaus? How about Oahu fishing? You can lounge on great beaches, take surfing lessons, scuba dive, snorkel, kayak, swim with dolphins, go deep sea fishing, and of course, play golf. Yes it’s all there. If you are into sea creatures, try the Waikiki Aquarium, go under the ocean in a submarine, and visit the Sea Life Park. If you want to learn about Hawaiian history and culture try the Polynesian Cultural Center, the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, and a variety of museums. And don’t forget the Honolulu Zoo. If you want good entertainment in Hawaii, Oahu is the place. There are luaus, cocktail & dinner cruises, opera, symphony, and film. And of course there are plenty of bars and night clubs if that is your scene. Of all the Hawaiian Islands, this is the one for that shop-a-holic. You can find the typical US malls, unique boutiques, stores with Asian flare, and just about everything in between. If you’re shopping for clothes, souvenirs, electronics, designer handbags, or cheap beach sandals you’ll find it on Oahu. I haven’t spent much time on Oahu so I wouldn’t call myself an expert.
